Welcome to Term 3!
Our students have returned and settled well into classes across the College. It has been wonderful to see our students enjoying school.
Our priority for this term is to ensure we deliver our teaching and learning program within the health challenges we currently face. With a new variant of COVID-19 and Influenza circulating and being highly transmissible in the community, there is a pressure to ensure we have staff well enough to teach in classrooms and undertake other roles across the College. I encourage all our Year 7-12 students to wear masks indoors to keep themselves well and protect our staff.
The first semester saw some great achievements across the College:
- The recommencement of the Year 12 Buddy program with Receptions
- Our barista course opened with the ‘Gate Two Café’ at the Senior School Campus
- Independent Study Program for Year 9 and Year 10s
- Launch of Children’s University, Debating, Brain Bee and Tournament of Minds
- Brilliant Stage 1 and 2 Drama productions
- The visit of F1 for Schools
- Peer ‘Try-a-Trade’ program

The building project at the Middle School campus is making excellent progress. The first stage of this project is to redevelop the Lecture Theatre as a multi-purpose Performing Arts Theatre, construct a new drama room (opposite the current Lecture Theatre), build four new sport courts and the main car park which will be situated on the western side of the Middle School campus. The Performing Arts Theatre and drama space should be completed by the end of this term.
As you know, the current Middle School soccer pitch has been converted into a staff/visitor car park and pick-up and drop-off area. When we transfer to the new main car park in 2023, this pitch will be resurfaced.
This term is an important one for our Year 12s as they complete major assignments, prepare for their exams next term, and consider their life after school. We keep them in our prayers as they complete their final year of schooling, reflect and plan their future pathway.
