Stage 1 Visual Art-Design (S1)

Students delve into a Design movement for their Visual Study, conducting research, analysis, and practical exploration. They propose and develop their design brief, selecting influences, media, style, and techniques. The culmination includes creating a final design work and crafting a Practitioner's Statement to reflect their creative process and inspirations.

Visual Study (30%)

  • Teacher directed investigation on a Design movement - 8-12 pages with 750 words if written or a maximum of 5 minutes if oral, or the equivalent in multimodal form.

Stage 1 Visual Art-Design (S2)

Students in Stage 1 Visual Art develop their own investigation topic, researching and exploring through analysis and practical work. They propose a design brief, choosing influences, media, style, and techniques. The final stage involves creating a design work and crafting a Practitioner's Statement to reflect their creative process and inspirations.
