Stage 1 Drama (S1)

Stage 1 Drama empowers students to creatively explore and develop practical skills as theatre-makers. Through investigation, experimentation, and collaboration, students create and present dramatic works, reflecting on their learning and enhancing their technical proficiency and artistic expression through a study of various theatre styles.

Performance (40%)

  • Performance: Presentation of Evidence (video documentary, oral presentation or video essay)

Responding to Drama (30%)

  • Multimodal analysis and application referring to live production from the State Theatre Company or workshops from Take the Stage Drama Day

Creative Synthesis (30%)

  • Oral presentation as a director or a designer using new technologies in their hypothetical production
