What will I learn:

In Science you will choose your topics for each Unit:

  • Biology – Exploring Either:
    • If the human body is suited to our environment and what, if anything needs to change
    • How different species survive in a wetlands ecosystem, and how can we determine the health of the ecosystem
  • Chemistry – Exploring Either:
    • Chemistry in the home, including food and cleaning products.
    • Pollution and water chemistry, including how we can clean polluted water samples
  • Earth & Space Sciences – Exploring Either:
    • The processes and event of natural disasters
    • The requirements of inhabiting another planet
  • Physics – Exploring Either:
    • How an understanding of energy transfers and transformations can allow us to build a better, more just world
    • What we understand about the universe around us, based on the energy that come to us from space. 

What attributes do I need:

You are able to learn new terms and facts and then able to apply this knowledge to answer questions. You can safely work in the Science Labs to perform experiments and collect data. You can work independently or in a group to complete a task or project, including research based, or practical investigations.
