Stage 1 Scientific Studies (S1)

Students in Stage 1 Scientific Studies (Semester 1) will study Kitchen Science, Science Inquiry Skills, and Collaborative Inquiry. They will engage in tasks on Scientific Data Analysis and Interpretation, where they interpret data and evaluate claims, and design and conduct an investigation on the 10 Second Rule, analyzing contamination levels. The course also includes studying new wound care techniques through the Wound Sterility SHE Task. Additionally, students will participate in a Collaborative Investigation titled "Party Fun."

Stage 1 Scientific Studies (S2)

Students in Stage 1 Scientific Studies (Semester 2) will study forensic science, focusing on Science Inquiry Skills, Crime Scene Investigation, Fingerprinting, and Working Scientifically. They will learn about fingerprint collection and comparison, and design experiments on blood spatter analysis. The course will also explore new technologies in forensic science and their societal impacts. Additionally, students will engage in a Collaborative Investigation.
