Stage 1 Chemistry

Stage 1 Chemistry (S1)

Students in Stage 1 Chemistry (Semester 1) will initially study Materials and their Atoms, focusing on the structure and properties of atoms. They will then explore Combinations of Atoms and Molecules, with a specific focus on how atoms bond and form molecules. The semester culminates in an end-of-semester examination.

Stage 1 Chemistry (S2)

Students in Stage 1 Chemistry (Semester 2) will initially study Mixtures and Solutions, focusing on the properties and behaviours of mixtures. They will then explore Acids and Bases, followed by Redox Reactions, with a specific focus on oxidation and reduction processes. The semester culminates in an end-of-semester examination.
