Year 10 Religious Education
In this unit, students will explore and reflect on the plight of refugees around the world and how, in some countries, Catholic and Anglican social teachings are not adhered to. They will develop their own research topic on an environmental issue and examine the impact different religions have on ecological conversion. Finally, they will reflect on their definition of diversity and design a lesson for a Junior School class about celebrating religious diversity.

Assessment Overview

Students will answer questions about how the treatment of refugees in some countries goes against Catholic and Anglican social teachings. They will also examine how religious organizations help refugees.
