Stage 1 English
Students in Year 11 must study 2 semesters of English from either English, English Literary Studies or Essential English.
If a student wishes to choose English or English Literary Studies in Year 12, they must have completed at least one semester of that English subject.
Essential English in Year 11 leads only to Essential English at Year 12.
To satisfy the SACE Literacy requirements and for receiving the SACE certificate, students must receive at least a C grade in two semesters of an English subject in Year 11.
