Recommended Prior Achievement:
- Successful completion of a Stage 1 English or Stage 1 Workplace Practices to a C grade or higher
What will I learn:
In Workplace Practices you will explore:
- The changing nature of work
- Work Health and Safety
- Industrial relations
- Finding work skills including resume writing and interview procedures
- Working experience (60 hours undertaken during school holidays, weekends or after school)
- Reflective practices of capability and skill development
What attributes do I need:
Organisational and time management skills. Confidence to engage with others in the community to ensure the commitment to working experience is completed. A passion to get ready for work, an apprenticeship or further training. Great if you already commit many hours to a part-time job or a school-based apprenticeship, as this can be utilised for your working experience.
