Stage 1 Information Processing and Publishing
Students in this course apply practical skills and design principles to develop creative solutions for text-based communication tasks, leveraging imagination and creativity in their proposals and choices. Utilising the design process, they employ problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Students produce both hard-copy and electronic publications, meticulously documenting the development process. They identify and utilise computer hardware and software to process, manage, and communicate information across various contexts, including editorial publication and product design. Additionally, students analyse the impacts and consequences of publishing technologies, fostering a comprehensive understanding of their use.
