The Year 5 students recently completed a whole day of fun and learning around the world of measurement. There were a diverse range of activities organised in a rotation which made learning these skills exciting.
On one rotation the students were looking at water clocks outside and on another rotation they were working with sheep pens (not to be confused with the writing ones). There were also activities around volume, area, perimeter, length and width. The day was a blast, with many students showing their character strengths of perseverance, love of learning and curiosity while engaging in the activities with zest. Tired, but full of knowledge, all students met at the end of the day to share answers and to learn about other people’s findings. Everyone involved had a magnificent day and learnt many things that will be useful for the future.
