COMBINED ANGLICAN SCHOOLS SERVICE
On Wednesday, 17 May, students and staff from St Columba College attended the annual Combined Anglican Schools Service at Saint Peters Cathedral along with 400 students from the 11 Anglican Schools across both the Diocese of Adelaide and The Murray.

It was a very special service where we met the new Anglican Archbishop Geoff Smith and asked him some of lire's toughest questions ranging from "Why do bad things happen to good people?" to "How many people are in your family?" and "How do you like living in Adelaide?"

A highlight was the coloured "prayer planes" where we threw them in the cathedral!

Many thanks to our College musicians and singers who led the music for the service. They sounded magnificent and added to the sense of this wonderful occasion.

SAINT COLUMBA DAY
Celebrating is an important part of the Anglican and Catholic traditions. Last Friday, we celebrated our College Feast Day which began with a whole school Eucharistic Liturgy in the Anglican tradition with our Chaplain Rev’d Jo Smith as our celebrant. During the Eucharist, the students and staff members who are travelling to Iona during the holidays were blessed and presented with their prayer journals. Through our prayers and singing we thanked God for the many opportunities we have as a community to learn and grow in the love of God. The rest of the day was spent participating in fun activities. These events are very special and give students and staff life long memories of joy and friendship.
