Principal’s Report: Term 4, Week 7

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome to the final edition of the Coracle for the year. In the past week we have held the Carols Night and the Senior School Prayer and Presentation Evening. Thank you so much to all our families for your support of the Carols Night. Our thanks go to the Junior and Middle School Choirs and to the teachers, Ms Bethany Gillard, Mrs Roberta Beer and Mrs Sharon Chng, for leading the singing. It was wonderful to have our 2018 Prefects act as MCs on the night and they did a great job. We extend a special thank you to the Parents and Friends Association for their support of the event providing the BBQ and drinks. I take this opportunity to thank the following parents for their work on the P&F throughout the year, Vicki Zelipski, Louise Perkins, Alex Karagiannakis, Kylie O’Malley, Tony Zelipski, Adam Perkins, Simon Abbot and Colleen Boaden.

On Wednesday night, the Year 12 graduating class were presented with their graduation folders and Academic Awards, and Years 10-12 received the Caritas Awards for 2017. We look forward to the Year 12 Graduation Dinner tonight to celebrate this graduating class. I thank the families for their support throughout their child’s time at the College.

We congratulate Luke Gribble and Caitlin Allen on their appointment as Head Prefects for 2018. They will be joined by Chelsea Foubister, Aidan Goode, Caitlin Jacques, Achol Kuol, Ater Mac, Eva Manatakis, Sandy Thach and Cameron Trezona and we look forward to their leadership of the student body next year.

Finally, we extend our thanks to the following permanent teachers for their service to the College as they transfer to take up appointments at new schools next year; Mrs Sarah Morris, Mr Philip Southwell and Mrs Sarah Amey.

As 2017 draws to a close I thank all families for your support throughout the year and I wish you every blessing this Christmas.

With best wishes,

Ms Leanne Carr Principal
