Junior School had their annual Performing Arts Showcase at the end of last term. More than seventy students across Year 2 to Year 6 performed to an audience of at least two hundred, consisting of their families, staff and their peers. The evening included performances by the Year 3-5 Dynamics Choir, Year 4/5 Columba Rumba Percussion group, Confi-dance group, instrumental students of the College and the competitive and recreational cheer groups. Instrumentalists performed on piano, guitar, voice and drums. Thank you to the instrumental tutors for their marvellous work in teaching our students. Both solo and ensemble performers showed great accomplishment in their chosen repertoire. The enjoyment of the audience was obvious by their enthusiastic support of all artists.
Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the evening, your consistent effort and commitment has helped develop you into promising young musicians and performers. If you have a child who may be interested in private music tuition, please see our College website. If your child is interested in joining one of our many performing arts ensembles next year, please watch out for the notes that will be sent home early in Term 1 2019.
