It’s a Knockout!

6/7 Girls Knockout Soccer – Round 1

On Thursday, 30 May, St Columba College hosted Round 1 of the 6/7 Girls Knockout Soccer competition, competing against Greenwith Primary School. Congratulations to the team as they defeated Greenwith 8 - 1. Well done to goal scorers Gemma (4), Georgia (2) and Zoe (1). Special mention to Shailey for her excellent work in the midfield and defence, and Katie for being goalkeeper. Well done to all players on their teamwork and fighting spirit. Thank you Miss Osborne and Miss Dolan for coaching the team.

6/7 Boys Knockout Soccer – Round 1

On Tuesday, 28 May, St Columba College hosted Round 1 of the 6/7 Boys Knockout Soccer competition. St Columba College played against John Hartley Primary School and Angle Vale Primary School in the wintery conditions. The first game was against Angle Vale Primary School, St Columba College won 16 - 0. Well done to top goal scorer Ajak, scoring seven goals! The final game was against John Hartley Primary School, St Columba College took out another win 8 - 0. Well done to top goal scorer Massimo, scoring four goals! Congratulations to all players on an excellent team game. Special mention to our goal scorers throughout the day, Ajak (8), Massimo (6), Samim (2), Caleb (2), Timothy (1), Succes-Beyran (1), Denzel Stojakovic (1), Ben (1), Feda (2) and Harrysen (1). Thank you to Year 12 student Jiela for doing a tremendous job refereeing all of the matches. Thank you Mr Oliver Harms for coaching the team.

8/9 Girls 5-a-side Soccer Carnival

On Wednesday, 29 May, St Columba College competed in the 8/9 Girls 5-a-side Soccer Carnival at Salisbury High School. Students competed against schools in the Northern Zone Sporting Competition. Congratulations to the Division 1 team who placed 3rd and the Division 2 team who placed 6th! Well done to all students on the excellent participation and teamwork throughout the day. Thank you to Year 10 student Caleb for umpiring at the Carnival. Thank you to Miss Royals and Mr Webster for coaching the teams.
