We are delighted to announce that St Columba College Principal, Mr Darren Pitt, has been recognised in The Educator’s 2025 Most Influential Educators list.

This prestigious national honour acknowledges education leaders who are driving meaningful change and delivering outstanding outcomes for students and school communities across Australia.

The Educator’s rigorous three-month evaluation process, conducted by a 30+ member Intelligence Unit, canvassed the views of expert panels and sector-wide research to identify the nation’s top 50 educational changemakers. Mr Pitt’s inclusion in the final list reflects his visionary leadership, commitment to innovation, and passion for ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.

“I am fortunate to work as part of a gifted and future-focused leadership team and staff at St Columba College. Our focus is to make a difference in the lives of our community, and it makes me proud to know that our efforts are being recognised,” said Mr Pitt.

Since joining St Columba College, Mr Pitt has led a transformational journey focused on academic excellence, student wellbeing and future-focused learning. His leadership has seen a renewed strategic direction, increased enrolments, and major investments in state-of-the-art learning facilities, including the recently opened Moville Building and the upcoming Clonard Building.

This national recognition is not only a reflection of Mr Pitt’s individual achievements, but also a testament to the collective work of the College’s staff and community under his leadership.
