2020 Book Week

Story Book Trail

St Columba College is hosting a Scarecrow Story Book Trail in celebration of Book Week 2020. Supporting the wonderful work of Anglicare SA.

From Tuesday 20th - Friday 23rd of October, St Columba College will be hosting a ‘Scarecrow Story Book Trail’ as part of our 2020 Book Week celebrations. Classes are busily preparing 20 scarecrows, dressed up as their favourite story book characters, for students and families to discover along the trail.

As the 2020 Anglicare Angels’ School, our students are using the opportunity to raise important funds for Anglicare through sponsorship, donations and sale of the scarecrows. ‘The Scarecrow Story Book Trail’ will also showcase our new Junior School outdoor play spaces, demonstrate the College’s commitment to sustainability and promote Literacy in the North.

We are also seeking sponsors for each scarecrow along the trail. A logo will be displayed at the base of the sponsored scarecrow, as well as acknowledgement in our advertising, flyers and on our social media channels. If you are interested in this please email shelley.enders@stcolumba.sa.edu.au to get involved.

• Families can walk the trail Tuesday-Thursday at either 8:15AM-8:45AM or 3:10PM-4:00PM. Please bring a gold coin donation.

• Dress up book week parade on Wednesday (students only)

• A silent auction is available so you can purchase your favourite scarecrow to take home. Offers can be made by emailing Mrs Shelley Enders - shelley.enders@stcolumba.sa.edu.au. All money raised will be donated to Anglicare SA.
